Presentation transcript:

The following information is not all inclusive. Each crewmember is responsible for knowing, following, and executing proper checklist procedures

General Changes TO Sections are now numbered in the same manner as Publications (1.1, , etc) Procedures referenced in CLs have paragraph # listed in the CL Sections are smaller with figures at the end of each section Expanded CLs have title at the top of each page of the CL for ease of use

General Changes (Notes, Warnings and Cautions) Multiple Notes, Warnings, and Cautions are listed in bulleted format: Warning -First Warning -Second Warning -etc.

General Changes (Notes, Warnings and Cautions) Warnings are now listed in the hand held CL Some Cautions are listed in hand held. For those not listed, the applicable step will be followed with a C

Section II General Changes Removed Standard and Non-Standard Procedures Combat Entry and Exit CLs moved from 2C- 5v3 to -1 section II Block In CL: Scanner reports before the LM Danger areas and noise levels have their own section before the preflight procedures

Section II Thru-Flight v. QT Thru-Flight is completed anytime a full pre- flight is not required and any time the Before Leaving Airplane CL is completed. QT is done for quick turn operations (regardless of fuel on-load), including inspection of maintenance items. QT is allowed on crew changes as long as FE/LM have a face to face turnover at the aircraft, otherwise a Thru-Flight is required

Before Interior Inspection All LM Preflight Checks now included with FE/Scanner Battery System and Charging System checks moved to the beginning of Before Interior Inspection and updated for clarification

Preflight Checks Accumulator checks moved to the beginning of scanners interior inspection M-Test for A/P Pitch and Roll / PACS Pitch and Roll replaced by system functional checks Single Side SAS IBIT failures require both pilot/co-pilot side MBIT. All other IBIT failures require only the failed side MBIT

Preflight Checks For Stallimiter IBIT failures, maintenance personnel are required to perform MBIT Auto-Pilot disconnect check added after flight control checks

Section II Crew ID codes have been revised for CL clarification Sub steps for MADAR engine health monitoring check removed from hand held and expanded. Bleed Air / Pressurization clarified for Combat Entry CL: A/C off and Bleed Valves closed

Section II Combat Entry / Exit and A/R Checklists moved between Cruise and Descent Checklists FE is required to give estimated land time and Wx to troop on Descent

Block In and Quick Stop Quick Stop not to be used for ERO/ERCC (may be used for offloading ACMs with engines running) Block In used for ERO/ERCC, on/off load PAX or small articles through CED. For ERCC, departing crew completes Block In CL, arriving crew resumes with Before Taxi

Block In * items on Block In are used for CED (no visor/ramp) on/off loads Engineer reads CL, including “Clear to depart” and “Visor clear to open” calls -1-4 has response items for P/CP not included in Engineer’s hand held / expanded. OGV will offer more guidance on what will be required for these items

Section II Bleed down check is set at psi as indicated (no more “first / second chance” check) Extra guidance provided for LM on ERO Three Engine Ferry and Backing Procedures moved from Section III to Section II APU procedures have updated battery check items

Section II Vertical Acceleration Limit (G-Limit) procedures streamlined AERP and Oxygen procedures separated. Oxygen procedures are at the front of section II and AERP procedures are at the back Arial Refueling procedures incorporated in Section II, Section VIII is removed

Kneeling CP/E checks the EMER HYD light and brake pressure guage No direction on what tires get chocked. 3” still apply

Ground Emergencies For ground emergencies where the parking brake is set, the CP now checks the EMER HYD light as well as the brake pressure gauge Quick Stop CL is no longer required to deplane Scanner. New Challenge / Response items for Scanner and LM for ground evacuation Procedures should be reviewed by ALL personnel for familiarization

Section III CED is added as a primary ground evacuation exit for the flight deck APU Fire on the Ground CL combines Crew in Place and Crew not in Place checklists. –Ground Exits challenge changed to Prepare to Evacuate –FE/LM required to make radio call and call to evacuate personnel if no P/CP present. –LM Responsible for FE column if FE not present

Section III PTU Fire on the Ground CL combines Crew in Place and Crew not in Place checklists. –Ground Exits challenge changed to Prepare to Evacuate –FE required to make radio call and call to evacuate personnel if no P/CP present.

Section III Abort procedures and references changed to Reject procedures and references Press Aug Valve Failure procedures moved from Section I to Section III Warning added to Emergency / Precautionary Engine Shutdown regarding throttle alignment

Section III References to 7 bus operation changed to Emergency Generator Operation PTU area scan added to PTU Compartment Fire In Flight CL Warnings added to Fuselage and Wheel Well Fire, Electrical Fire, Pylon Fire, and Wing Fire Checklists: If fire can’t be isolated/extinguished, land as soon as possible, prepare to abandon, crash land, or ditch

Section III Unpressurized Door Warning CL lists applicable doors in bulleted format for ease of reading Caution regarding loss of aft cargo door has changed from applicable to SCM to applicable to all aircraft Rapid Decompression now in CL format with boldface added Controllability Check now states: plan to not reconfigure Pilots column in Fuel Jettison Procedure removed

Section III Abbreviated list of essential components is included in Emergency Generator Operation Emergency Boom Latch Briefing example is provided in Section III

Section IV Incorporates changed Crew ID codes LM Preflight / Briefing items moved to appropriate CL in Section II Verbiage about Scanner being a qualified Engineer removed

Section V New DC Voltmeter and Limitations added to instrument markings section Low Temp Inflight operation for Jet A Fuel changed from -35° to -37° EGT Limit Chart has improved readability Paratroop references removed from Airspeed Limit Chart Verbiage changed to Caution regarding main tank fuel below 12,000p and Rates of Descent over 10,000 FPM may cause nitrogen to cause damage to vent boxes.

Section V Ground Speed Limits for Visor Operation removed Air Drop Limitation Section removed Torque Shelf and Sloping Longeron Limit Section added
