Literacy support for schools All schools have a Literacy coordinator Extensive CPD has been delivered in Literacy strategies Higher order thinking skills CPD Support for planning and progression Early, First, Second and Third Implementation plans outlining key roles and responsibilities for senior managers, curriculum leaders and practitioners. 7

Literacy Qualifications At SCQF levels 3 and 4, literacy will be included within the English qualifications. At SCQF level 5, aspects of literacy will be included within the English qualifications. Free standing units in literacy will also be available units at all levels Available from 2013/14 8

Additional Support Needs Comprehensive Literacy and Dyslexia guidelines All pupils screened based on Standardised tests Further assessments carried out Identification of additional support eg.
