SimMan includes a Link box, touch screen and remote controls. The skill training feature performs several realistic scenarios and can be used for a wide variety of applications, including chest tube insertion.

SimMan and SimWoman are interactive, reacting to a wide range of scenarios from basic sophomore skills to complex utilization for our Nurse Practitioner programs. Operated by computer and programmed to react as a "real" patient, scenarios are played out to allow students to perfect their skills and critically analyze their "patient's" symptoms in a non-threatening environment. Although SimMan offers students a close-to-real hospital experience, the College of Nursing continues to provide seven off-site clinical hands-on specialties including OB, Mental Health, Pediatric/Family, Adult, Acutely Ill Adult and Community Health.
