What is Silver Bear NYLT ?  It’s an intense, 6-day, outdoor leadership training experience for youth leaders.  Its principle function is to help Scoutmasters by training their top boy leaders in the skills of leadership.  It utilizes The new National BSA Training Format for Leadership Development  It focuses on the ‘Aims of Scouting’  Participating Citizenship  Growth in Moral Strength and Character  Development in Physical, Mental and Emotional Fitness

The Goals of Silver Bear NYLT  To give participants the confidence and knowledge to run the Troop program.  Through activities, presentations, challenges, discussions and audio-visual support, NYLT participants will be engaged in a unified approach to leadership that will give them the skills and confidence to lead well.  To give participants the opportunity to share ideas and experiences with Scouts from other Troops.  To create an atmosphere where Scouts will experience Scouting at its best.  To enhance the relationship between the participant and his Scoutmaster.  To have FUN.
