Where he was born and how he died Langston Hughes was born in Joplin Missouri February 1st 1902 and died of prostate cancer on may 22 1967 in New York.

His childhood He was raised until he was 13 in Lincoln, Illinois then he began to write poetry.

Adult hood He spent a year at Columbia university he was a assistant cook, bus boy, and a launderer. He finished his collage education at Lincoln university. He won a gold metal for literature. He lived at 20 east 127th street . It was re named Langston Hughes place. He lived in Illinois, Ohio, and Mexico
