TschlinChange of use for empty buildings to a touristic option Changing from a rural to a soft-touristic economy, which takes advantage of a intact nature and of Tschlin musical tradition. The aim is changing of use for empty building to a touristic option, beginning with the school building. Pragelato e PraliLocal development and Olympic Winter Games in two Olympic resorts Analyzing the initiatives and the proposals of local economic development with special rewference to the Olympic Winter Games that will be hosted in Regione Piemonte in Valcamonica e Valvestino Experiments of innovation actions for preserving the commercial services Maintaining adequate commercial services levels in Region mountain and disadvantage areas. Increasing the value of commerce social dimansion to improve life quality in mountain areas. DazioExperiments of innovation actions for trade and handicrafts integration To define a “hypothesis of the model” to revitalize the typical goods commerce, through a research involving all the local institution, artists and manufactures, promoting the sharing of the resources. A similar research will be done for agricultural products and local cultures, considering the hypothesis it is suitable to put together different kinds of products at the same “selling places”. Connected with it, the attractivity to live at the village goes down and young people, having small future prospects, leaves theese mountain areas. Saint MauriceAttraction of small and medium size enterprises and development of tourist activities Traditional employers such as the army or the Swiss railway company have suppressed a lot of jobs this last decade and the municipality want to attract small and middle enterprises and to develop tourist activities. TschlinChange of use for empty buildings to a touristic option Loosing people to the main towns of the region (Scuol, Chur). Pragelato e PraliLocal development and Olympic Winter Games in two Olympic resorts The impact with the Olympic event allows to analyze the effects on stakeholders’ networks. Need to avoid the decline, when – as in Prali – there is a possibilityrisk of mass tourism. Awareness of local inhabitants’ needs and attempt to attract new resident. Interesting presence of foreigners and relevant institutions (Agape). Intensification of trans-border relations. Analysis (customer habits enquiry, about supply and demand about existing public services, about the availability of rooms for multi-service shop) Presentation and discussion of European projects already done and regarding the economic problems of little mountain municipalities.
