NEW EVALUATION SYSTEM FOR THE ACADEMIC SESSION

IN AN ACADEMIC YEAR THERE WILL BE TWO TERMS FIRST TERM (JUNE TO OCTOBER) SECOND TERM (NOVEMBER TO APRIL)

FIRST TERM(JUNE TO OCTOBER) TWO FORMATIVE ASSESEMENTS (FA1 & FA2) ONE SUMMATIVE ASSESEMENT (SA1)

FA1 -10 MARKS FA2-10 MARKS FOR EACH (FA) 4 ASSESEMENTS TO BE CONDUCTED EACH OUT OF 10 MARKS AND THE AVERAGE OF 4 ASSESEMENTS IS THE MARKS OF (FA)

FA 1 (10 MARKS) ORALS CLASS WORK/HOME WORK CLASS TEST PROJECT WORK/ASSIGNMENT DICTATION /QUIZ

FA 2 (10 MARKS) ORALS CLASS WORK/HOME WORK CLASS TEST PROJECT WORK/ ASSIGNMENT DICTATION /QUIZ

SA 1 (30 MARKS) TWO HOURS EXAMINATION

SA 1 HAS TWO PARTS PART A – 10 MARKS (20 questions of half marks each.) -Objective – Fill in the blanks, True or false, Choose the correct word etc. PART B- 20 MARKS SECTION A- 5 MARKS (1 MARKS FOR EACH QUESTION) SECTION B- 12 MARKS (2 MARKS FOR EACH QUESTION) SECTION C- 3 MARKS (3 MARKS FOR EACH QUESTION)

Additional Subjects : Assessment Physical Education (P.E.) * In minimum two events child should participate. (One Athletic & One Game -10 marks for each event.) 20 marks * Uniform-10 marks * Exercise-10 marks * Discipline -10 marks __________________________________________ Total-50 marks (For the second term same evaluation method will be followed.)

Additional Subjects : Assessment Music * Sur-10 marks * Tal-10 marks * National Anthem-10 marks * National Song -10 marks * Prayer Song-10 marks __________________________________________ Total-50 marks (For the second term same evaluation method will be followed.)

Additional Subjects : Assessment Art: -Art Book-10 marks -Exam-40 marks __________________________________________ Total-50 marks (For the second term same evaluation method will be followed.)

Additional Subjects : Assessment *Computer :(For Std. III & IV) - FA 1 & FA 2 (2 Practicals – 10 marks each)-20 marks - SA 1 (Theory)-30 marks __________________________________________ Total-50 marks (For the second term same evaluation method will be followed.)

FIRST TERM FA1(10)+ FA2(10) + SA1(30) = 50 MARKS

SECOND TERM (NOVEMBER TO APRIL) SAME ASSESEMENT PATTERN AS IN FIRST TERM FA3(10)+FA4(10)+ SA2(30)=50 MARKS

FINAL RESULT FIRST TERM MARKS (50 MARKS ) + SECOND TERM (50 MARKS) = 100 MARKS (Minimum pass marks = 33 marks per subject) N.B.: In the Report card corresponding grades to be given instead of marks.
