Mysore ROYALTY AND ROOTS IN MYTHOLOGY. This Imperial City of Palace was the capital of the Wodeyars. Mahishur, as it was called them, traces its roots in ancient mythology. Today Mysore is a vibrant city which is a mix of the quaint and the modern. It is located 140 kilometers from Bangalore.

Belur & Halebidu A GLORIUS DYNASTY’S FINEST MONUMENT. Belur is the epicenter of Hoysala Architecture. Famous for its temple complex. Prominent among them is the Chennakeshava Temple; was completed in 1116 AD and took 103 years to complete. It is located 149 kilometers from Mysore. Halebidu, a little temple town 27 kilometers from Hassan, boasts about one of the finest Hoysala temples. The Twin Shiva Temples, built on a single platform.

Situated picturesquely at the mouth of a ravine between two rocky hills, it has four cave temples which are hewn out of sandstone.
