High School Graduation Requirements Florida students entering their first year of high school in the 2011–2012 school year and thereafter may choose from several options to earn a standard diploma. Postsecondary Education Readiness Test (P.E.R.T.) The Postsecondary Education Readiness Test (P.E.R.T.) is Florida's customized common placement test. The purpose of the P.E.R.T. is accurate course placement based on the student's skills and abilities. The P.E.R.T. is aligned with the Postsecondary Readiness Competencies identified by Florida faculty as necessary for success in entry-level college credit coursework. The P.E.R.T. assessment system includes Placement and Diagnostic tests in mathematics, reading and writing.

TYPICAL BACHELOR’S DEGREE(4 years) A typical bachelor's degree is 120 semester hours. Some will be as long as 150 semester hours but not many. Bright Futures Scholarship Requirements for 2015 Graduates The Florida Bright Futures Scholarship Program’s purpose is to reward students for their academic achievements during high school by providing funding to attend postsecondary education in Florida.
