Writing Focuses on the future. Compare/contrast options. Requires additional school/career research. Follow the step by step directions and assessment rubric.
College/School/Military Writing Choices College/School/Military Application (common or school application) Essay Workforce Cover letter Resume Basic Job application
Essay Choices College essay based on specific school or Common Application requirements. BCCC students write an essay comparing and contrasting 3 majors or 3 transfer schools. Workforce/Military writes an essay that compares 3 career options (in the Military).
Presentation Microsoft PowerPoint or Google Slides Must complete Research and Writing before they present. Students can present early. Assessed using presentation assessment scoring guide. Based on state standards
Graduation Survey Between May 1st and May 15 students will log on to NAVIANCE and complete an Exit survey about their future plans.. Goal is to provide data to future NHS students. This will include: Colleges accepted to College/trade school choice Career choice Scholarships

Time Line for Class of 2015 Research Due (Approx.) Sept 29th 2015 Writing Due (Approx.) October 29th 2015 Presentations Due January 5th 2016 Students may present early at any time. Students will be assigned a time/date that they will have to present. Graduation Survey - May 1st-15th
