Lucy Stone Lucy Stone (August 13, 1818 West Brookfield, Massachusetts – October 19, 1893 Boston, Massachusetts ) was a prominent American abolitionist and suffragist, and a vocal advocate and organizer promoting rights for women .

Rosa Parks Rosa Louise McCauley Parks (February 4, 1913 Tuskegee, Alabama – October 24, 2005Detroit, Michigan) was an African American civil rights activist whom the U.S. Congress later called the "Mother of the Modern-Day Civil Rights Movement."

Harriet Tubman Born Araminta Ross 1820 or 1821Dorchester County, Maryland – March 10, 1913 Auburn, New York was an African-American abolitionist, humanitarian, and Union spy during the American Civil War. After escaping from slavery, into which she was born, she made thirteen missions to rescue over seventy slaves using the network of antislavery activists and safe houses known as the Underground Railroad. She later helped John Brown recruit men for his raid on Harpers Ferry, and in the post-war era struggled for women's suffrage.

Coretta Scott King Born April 27, 1927 Marion, Alabama  – January 30, 2006 Playas de Rosarito, Baja California ) was an American author, activist, and civil rights leader. The widow of Martin Luther King, Jr., Coretta Scott King helped lead the African-American Civil Rights Movement in the 1960s. Mrs. King's most prominent role may have been in the years after her husband's 1968 assassination when she took on the leadership of the struggle for racial equality herself and became active in the Women's Movement.

Her best-known speech, Ain't I a Woman?, was delivered in 1851 at the Ohio Women's Rights Convention in Akron, Ohio.

Although renowned for her soul recordings, Franklin is also adept at jazz, rock, blues, pop, R&B and Gospel music. Rolling Stone magazine ranked Franklin #1 on its list of The Greatest Singers of All Time .Franklin is one of the most honored artists by the Grammy Awards, with 18 Grammys to date, which include the Living Legend Grammy and the Lifetime Achievement Grammy.
