Amazon’s Business Model Two models drive Amazon: technological innovation and more importantly, customer importance. Amazon has made it their mission to be the company that allows customers to find and discover anything they might want to buy online. Technologies used They use many different technologies depending on the pages chosen. Javascript/Java/jQuery seems to be the biggest technology commonly used at this company Perl/Mason is used to build content. Some platforms are C++ which was critical to it’s initial development; as well as oracle and Linux. Some other technologies used are: jQuery JavaScript framework SWFObject.
