CIO Interoperability Summit Recognized the value of NWCG governance structure and ability to address interagency tasks and projects.  Support for the Incident Communications Sub-Committee task group to address wireless communications  FS CIO Project Management support from Missoula and San Dimas Technology Development Center  Support the Radio Interoperability task team for testing solutions that address Trunked UHF/Legacy VHF interoperability Summit Results:  Interagency Interoperability Oversight Group  Interagency Radio Alliance  NWCG interagency Wireless Task Team  Thin client project support 2

Interagency Interoperability Oversight Group (IIOG)  IIOG membership, charter, governance roadmap have moved forward since CIO summit Next conference call December 2 nd January meeting set for membership determination and status report from identified projects &/or groups. (Jan 14 & 15) Yet to determine standard operating procedures with NWCG supported projects (IT & Radio).  Project submission  Funding mechanisms 3

Governance Approach Overall objective: A well defined, ongoing, interagency, interdisciplinary, methodology for promoting and enabling interoperability Purpose: Leadership, Coordination, Integration, Oversight, and Accountability among and between existing (and future) governance groups that touch on radio and IT issues Name: Interagency Interoperability Oversight Group Scope: Radio and Information Technology issues affecting public safety programs [including dispatch] in the Department of the Interior and USDA Forest Service Chartered by: Self-chartered Meeting frequency: At least quarterly Membership: Executive level from: –USDA Forest Service: USDA CIO, FS CIO, FS Fire/Aviation, FS LEI –DOI: CIO, LE, Fire, BLM CIO/Radio, BIA, [other bureau TBD] –Advisors from Acquisition, Property, Budget, and other stakeholder programs
