About Horizonte  You will graduate with us  You will be prepared for college and career  We partner with SLCC and the Urban Institute for Teacher Education at the University of Utah  We are accredited by the AdvancEd Accreditation Consortium  Students have access to district Career Technical Education classes  We have multiple programs to meet individual student needs

Advisory program  Each student is assigned a teacher advisor  Advisors monitor student progress, attendance, grades and graduation goals  Advisors are the liaison between parents and school  Advisors assists students with college and scholarship applications, and career pathways

Horizonte Credit Opportunities  On-line credit recovery is available to all students  Spy Hop film and music afterschool program (you can earn credits)  Service projects, MESA club, Latinos in Action, and college visit field trips are offered throughout the year

On-Site Resources for Families  Adult high school completion, GED® and English Language classes  School based Valley Behavioral Health therapist  Weekly immigration, street law, and debtors clinics  Utah Food Bank drop off  Health clinics  Parenting classes  College finance workshops  Family financial literacy workshops

Attendance is the greatest indicator of school success.  You can view your child's attendance via the Parent Portal on Powerschool or call the school directly  Please keep current contact information updated at all times.  Please notify the school if your student is absent, tardy or needs to leave early  You will be contacted if your student is absent

Closed campus  Once on school property, student cannot leave without proper release from the office  Students may not leave campus for lunch or snacks  Students may not go to the parking lot after school has started without permission  Parents will be contacted if the student leaves campus without permission during school hours

Dress Code  Students are not allowed to wear…  Hats or bandanas  Gang affiliated clothing, jewelry, or tattoos  Clothing with references to illegal activities

Electronic Devices Use not permitted during class time unless directed by teacher
