Planets By Makayla Cox

Mercury Mercury small rocky planet. It is about 1/3 the size of Earth. It is a dusty surface filled with craters.

Venus Venus has no moons. You can find Venus shining low in the western sky. Venus is almost the same size as Earth.

Earth From space Earth looks like a ball covered with clouds. A year on Earth is 365 days long. Earth is a inner planet.

Mars Mars’s nickname is the red planet. Mars was named for the Roman god of war. On mars it is very cold.

Jupiter It is the largest planet in our Solar System. It is cover by thick clouds. A year on Jupiter is 12 Earth years long.

Saturn A year on Saturn is about 30 Earth days long. One day is only 10 ½ Earth hours long. It is about 10 times the size as Earth.

Uranus Uranus is the seventh planet by the sun. On Uranus a year it takes 84 Earth days long. One day is 17 Earth days long.

Neptune A year on Neptune is 165 Earth days long. One day on Neptune is about 16. It has four or more rings which are very narrow and difficult to see.

Pluto Pluto has one moon. Although it is extremely cold on Pluto. Pluto may have evolved much like Earth and its moon.
