Godly Desires  God

God  Psalm 42:1-2 – “As the deer pants for the water, so pants my soul for You, O God”  Psalm 84:1-2 – “My soul longs, yes, even faints for the courts of the Lord”

Godly Desires  God  God’s Word

God’s Word  I Peter 2:1-3 – “desire the pure milk of the word”  I Peter 1:10-12 – “things which angels desire to look into”  Matthew 13:17 – “many prophets and righteous men desired to see what you see”  Acts 28:17-24 – “we desire to hear from you”

Godly Desires  God  God’s Word  Pray Everywhere

Pray Everywhere  I Timothy 2:8 – “I desire therefore that the men pray everywhere”  I Timothy 2:1-2 – “prayers… be made for all men”

Godly Desires  God  God’s Word  Pray Everywhere  All Men to be Saved

All Men to be Saved  Romans 10:1 – “my heart’s desire and prayer to God for Israel is that they may be saved”  I Timothy 2:3-4 – “who desires all men to be saved”  II Peter 3:9 – “not willing that any should perish”

To Be a Servant  Matthew 20:26-27 – “whoever desires to become great among you, let him be your servant”  I Corinthians 12:31-13:13 – “earnestly desire the best gifts… love”

To Be with Christ  Luke 9:23 – “If anyone desires to come after Me”  Philippians 1:23 – “having a desire to depart and to be with Christ”  Hebrews 11:16 – “they desire a better, that is, a heavenly country”  Revelations 22:17 – “Whoever desires, let him take the water of life freely”

Conclusion  Do you desire to know God & to have a relationship with Him?  Do you hunger/thirst for God’s Word as you strive to live godly & be pleasing unto God?  Do you desire to be with Christ & that others would know Him also?
