What’s Beach Walk? 17 th Annual Beach Walk and Health Fair –5k Walk that raises funds for TCC –TCC’s largest fundraiser Last year the event raised - $72,000 Last year there were over 500 participants –The Walk also raises awareness about TCC’s mission and programs

When Is Beach Walk? Saturday, October 27, 2007 –Registration – 8 AM –Walk Begins – 9 AM –Lunch & Award Ceremonies – 11:30 AM –Wellness Fair – 10 AM – 12 PM

Where Will Beach Walk Take Place? The Marina Green – at the start of the Long Beach Bike Path (Shoreline Drive and Ocean Boulevard).

Millikan COMPASS: A Model Walk Team Team Goals: –Recruit over 300 Walkers for Beach Walk –Raise $10,000 Team Benefits: –Custom team t-shirts –A special lunch is provided for all team members. –Doing something good for the community, while getting to hang out with your friends & family.

How to Raise Money Set individual and team goals. –If you’ve participated in Beach Walk before, try to beat your best. –If you are new to Beach Walk, start with a goal of $100. Write letters, make phone calls, ask everyone you know if they will sponsor you. –Sign up the person you think will donate the most money first. This will set the precedent for other sponsors. –Find 10 people to give you $10 each and you’ll reach your goal of $100. Sponsor yourself. –Write in your own donation so potential sponsors can see you are dedicated to the cause.
