Selection of sample cases for validation of the web platform performance (NTUA) SERVICE & USER REQUIREMENTS Deliverables Activity 1.2: Review Best practices from the viewpoint of waste and solution representation (All beneficiaries) Recording, analysis, assessment of existing practices & operation in terms of IS in the UK and internationally Date of completion: Milestones Completion of requirements specification for the components and the system (service) Date of completion: Activity 1.3: Review Best practices from the viewpoint of workflows and metrics used (L2E) Activity 1.4: Identification of user requirement and web service functionality (NTUA) Recording, analysis, assessment of industrial clusters in target countries Date of completion: Requirements set for the components, web platform Date of completion:

LIFE+ Environmental Policy & Governance project: LIFE09 ENV/GR/ In Action 1.1 the eSYMBIOSIS team reviewed the regional situation in Viotia, evaluated clusters of companies, the types of information available and selected sample cases for validation. A report comprising of analysis and classification of 25 different industrial sectors that were combined into 11 general sectors and 378 industrial units was produced as Deliverable D1.2. The industrial clusters selected for the verification were the metallurgical, food and chemical. These clusters include about the 62% of the industries located in the Viotia region. In Action 1.2, best practices in the UK concerning waste and solution representation, workflow and metrics were reviewed, so to drive the analysis and design of the platform characteristics. In Action 1.3, the user requirements and web service functionalities were prepared. Action 1: Deliverables & Milestones Start: , End: , Duration: 9 months
