In the early 1900s, women were expected to stay away from certain places. Men and women had ‘separate spheres’. According to what was ‘normal’ or ‘’the status quo’ at the time, put each of the following places in the appropriate sphere (overlapping places can fit into the centre): the home, the park, the saloon, the sidewalk, the voting booth, the factory, the office, the courts, the government buildings, the man’s den, the high school, the university, the sports arena, the streetcar, the concert hall, the kitchen, the drawing room The woman’s place(s) The man’s place(s) Separate Spheres How do you think women in the early 1900s felt about this social reality?
