Do You Hear What I Hear
Said the night wind to the little lamb, “Do you see what I see Said the night wind to the little lamb, “Do you see what I see? Way up in the sky, little lamb, Do you see what I see?
A star, a star, dancing in the night With a tail as big as a kite With a tail as big as a kite.”
Said the little lamb to the shepherd boy, “Do you hear what I hear Said the little lamb to the shepherd boy, “Do you hear what I hear? Ringing through the sky, shepherd boy. Do you hear what I hear?
A song, a song, high above the trees With a voice as big as the sea With a voice as big as the sea.”
Said the shepherd boy to the mighty king, “Do you know what I know Said the shepherd boy to the mighty king, “Do you know what I know? In your palace warm, mighty king, Do you know what I know?
A Child, a Child shivers in the cold Let us bring Him silver and gold Let us bring Him silver and gold.”
Said the king to the people everywhere, “Listen to what I say Said the king to the people everywhere, “Listen to what I say! Pray for peace, people everywhere, Listen to what I say!
The Child, the Child, sleeping in the night He will bring us goodness and light He will bring us goodness and light.”

Passing The Peace
What Child is This
What child is this, who laid to rest, on Mary’s lap is sleeping What child is this, who laid to rest, on Mary’s lap is sleeping? Whom angels greet with anthems sweet, While shepherds watch are keeping?
This, this is Christ the King, Whom shepherds guard and angels sing This, this is Christ the King, Whom shepherds guard and angels sing. Haste, haste to bring Him laud, the Babe the Son of Mary.
Why lies He in such mean estate Where ox and ass are feeding Why lies He in such mean estate Where ox and ass are feeding? Good Christian, fear for sinners here, The silent Word is pleading.
Nails, spear shall pierce Him through, The cross be born, for me, for you. Hail, hail the word made flesh, The Babe the Son of Mary.
So bring Him incense, gold and myrrh; Come, peasant king, to own Him So bring Him incense, gold and myrrh; Come, peasant king, to own Him. The King of kings salvation brings; Let loving hearts enthrone Him
Raise, raise the song on high; The Virgin sings her lullaby Raise, raise the song on high; The Virgin sings her lullaby. Joy, joy for Christ is born, the Babe, the Son of Mary.
The Altar and the Door
Careless. I am reckless. I'm a wrong way travlin' slowly unwravlin' shell of a man. ...
Burnt out. I'm so numb now. That the fire's just an ember way down in the corner of my cold, cold heart...
Lord this time, I’ll make it right, here at the altar I'll lay my life Lord this time, I’ll make it right, here at the altar I'll lay my life. Your kingdom come, but my will was done, my heart is broken as I...
Cry Like so many times before, but my eyes, are dry before I leave the floor. Oh lord, I try
But this time Jesus how can I be sure But this time Jesus how can I be sure. I will not lose my follow through between the altar and the door
Here at the Altar, oh my world so black and white, how could I ever falter what you've shown me to be right
Lord this time, I'll make it right, here at the altar I'll lay my life Lord this time, I'll make it right, here at the altar I'll lay my life.
I'm tryin' so hard, to stop tryin' so hard, just let me be who you are, oh who you are in me...
Jesus I'm tryin' so hard, to stop tryin' so hard, just let me be who you are, Lord who you are in me...
Oh Lord I...Cry. Like so many times before, but my eyes, are dry before I leave the floor. Oh lord, I try
But this time Jesus how can I be sure But this time Jesus how can I be sure. I will not lose my follow through between the altar and the door
Oh Lord I...Cry. Like so many times before, but my eyes, are dry before I leave the floor. Oh lord, I try
But this time Jesus how can I be sure But this time Jesus how can I be sure. I will not lose my follow through between the altar and the door
Scripture Luke 2: 22-40 Isaiah 61: 10 – 62: 3 Galatians 4: 4-7 Scripture Taken from the Holy Bible Today’s New International Version
Luke 2: 22-40 Jesus Presented in the Temple 22When the time came for the purification rites required by the Law of Moses, Joseph and Mary took him to Jerusalem to present him to the Lord 23(as it is written in the Law of the Lord, “Every firstborn male is to be consecrated to the Lord”a), 24and to offer a sacrifice in keeping with what is said in the Law of the Lord: “a pair of doves or two young pigeons.” b
Luke 2: 22-40 Jesus Presented in the Temple 25Now there was a man in Jerusalem called Simeon, who was righteous and devout. He was waiting for the consolation of Israel, and the Holy Spirit was on him. 26It had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he would not die before he had seen the Lord’s Messiah. 27Moved by the Spirit, he went into the temple courts. When the parents brought in the child Jesus to do for him what the custom of the Law required, 28Simeon took him in his arms and praised God, saying:
Luke 2: 22-40 Jesus Presented in the Temple 29 “Sovereign Lord, as you have promised, you may now dismiss your servant in peace. 30 For my eyes have seen your salvation, 31 which you have prepared in the sight of all nations: 32 a light for revelation to the Gentiles, and the glory of your people Israel.” 33The child’s father and mother marveled at what was said about him. 34Then Simeon blessed them and said to Mary, his mother: “This child is destined to cause the falling and rising of many in Israel, and to be a sign that will be spoken against, 35so that the thoughts of many hearts will be revealed. And a sword will pierce your own soul too.”
Luke 2: 22-40 Jesus Presented in the Temple 36There was also a prophet, Anna, the daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Asher. She was very old; she had lived with her husband seven years after her marriage, 37and then had been a widow for eighty-four years. d She never left the temple but worshiped night and day, fasting and praying. 38Coming up to them at that very moment, she gave thanks to God and spoke about the child to all who were looking forward to the redemption of Jerusalem.
Luke 2: 22-40 Jesus Presented in the Temple 39When Joseph and Mary had done everything required by the Law of the Lord, they returned to Galilee to their own town of Nazareth. 40And the child grew and became strong; he was filled with wisdom, and the grace of God was on him.

Joys & Concerns
The Lord’s Prayer Our Father, who art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name, Thy Kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, But deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory, for ever and ever. Amen
