Several activities have been (and are going to be) put in place supporting SMEs, thanks to the involved industry enabling push (CIPs)

Horizon 2020 themes fitting PSLab objectives (3) Societal Challenges The selected approach is a multidisciplinary one, involving different actors belonging to different domains (holistic expertise). The main goal is to identify and work on subjects that could have an actual and concrete application in the real world life (bottom-up) with the support of those (technological and methodological) instruments otherwise unavailable (top-down). Areas have already being investigated : Demographic change and wellbeing Inclusive and innovative societies Smart Transport

In the contest of Horizon 2020, the Puglia Smart Lab objectives and its “composition” fit well with several focus areas and actions. The main elements are: positioned between the Service Science and the Open Innovation involving the users from service definition to service delivery, it put in place an effective user driven innovation process. developed within the area of the Internet-based Service Engineering scientific analytical methodologies for the design, production and deployment of innovative services. referenced to market of the Knowledge Intensive Services an advanced an emerging category of the advanced tertiary sector, both private and public, and cross with respect to the other economic sector.
