In essence, it is a letter that helps you define:  who you are  how you got there  what is important to you  where do you want to go with your life It also invites the reader to view your portfolio.

This is a brief introduction of yourself to include:  who you are  where you grew up  what has influenced you  what is important to you

What is your dream for the future in terms of personal and career aspirations? What do you want for yourself?

What strengths do you bring to this decision? What personal traits will you have to develop?

What professional skills do you possess? Describe your favorite work sample(s) and highlight your strengths or skills acquired.

What information have you gathered so far about the career/s of your choice? What do you know about this job market? What education, training, skills will you need to be successful?

Explain what you discovered in creating your portfolio & how it relates to your future career goals. Thank them for taking to the time to review it!
