Introduction  The goal of our project is to construct a walking robot and integrate wireless communication with it. A robotic kit was purchased from CrustCrawler: Robotic Design and Development, to compensate for time restraints and lack of previous robot construction experience.

Goal  Our intent is to have a robot that is controlled from a laptop computer via Bluetooth connection with voice recognition / control software.

Communication  We have decide to go with Bluetooth because it is low power consumption and also because there is less interference with other wireless devices.  It has a short distance range about 100 meters or 326 feet with a maximum permitted power of 100mW.

Bluetooth Bluetooth Dongle which will be used through a laptop. Embedded Blue eb500-SER Bluetooth Serial Adapter Which will be used on our robot bread board.

For Visual we have decide to go with a wireless Video and Audio system which will transmit everything BUGS is viewing through a TV monitor.

 In addition, we are working with specific limitations like cost, on-board power restraints, weight, and functionality.

OBJECTIVE  The project objective is to represent several areas of study from our previous electronic and communications courses, while utilizing project management skills.
