Technology Camel Eager Beavers: The smallest group. Early Adopters: The first consumers of new technology. Early Majority: Is the first big wave of consumers. Late Majority: The technical skeptics. Technically Averse: This group of people departments and companies who resist technology.

Supporting Today’s End User Today’s end user needs five types of education and training 1. Information systems concepts: A major focus of concepts training is literacy. 2. Quick Start: End users nee a way of quickly learning how to use a new machine, application, device, or service. 3. Refresher Aids: Sense the end user performs different tasks every day, they may forget how to perform some operations. 4. Explanation of Assumptions: People who create forecasts and projections using modeling packages must understand the assumptions underlying the models. 5. Help in Overcoming Difficulties: All users run into a situation form which they cannot find and explanation.

The Internet Mindset Communication is not personal: in dealing with the World Wide Web. From personalized home pages to web cameras so you can see whom are speaking with. Customer contact is interactive: which feedback surveys and . The customers are being treated as if they are in the store. The customer service time frame is theirs: The customers are becoming more demanding of faster and better service, quality, and communication. Companies are trying to keep up.
