Class Supplies One two-pocket folder One 3 subject notebook (with pockets preferred) Covered Textbook (extra large book sox or paper cover) TI 34 Multi-view calculator Pencils with erasers

Accountability Grade Homework 50% Preparation 50%

Achievement Grade Major Assessments 50% Minor Assessments 30% Daily Assessments 20%

Homework Daily homework should take between 20 and 40 minutes (some shorter, some longer). Homework is not graded, but checked for completeness. Math is not always an answer, but a thought process, and sometimes the work turned in might be methods you tried that didn’t necessarily work, or questions you might have to get further in the problem. All homework problems must be attempted, with proof shown, in order to get full credit. Any incomplete homework assignment will be given at most half credit. Homework will be considered late if not received at the beginning of class. Late homework is NOT accepted for credit; however, it should be completed to practice. Homework answers will be posted and/or gone over the next day. A 100% in homework should be your goal for each marking period.

Absences Remember that math concepts build daily. The more you are absent the more you will miss. All missed work must be made up. When you are not here….we are! Check the website. Complete your missed work. Try to have work upon your return. Late work must me shown to me for credit. Please make arrangements to stay after school if you missed a test or Quiz

MMR’s (Math Memory Reflex) MMR’s help you to practice old skills that will be used throughout 7 th grade and beyond. MMR’s are your responsibility! Extra is available if you come across a difficult skill. MMR’s are due weekly. – White Copies: Accountability (can be resubmitted) – Colored Copies: Achievement (Daily assessments)

Extra Help Who can stay? Anyone! What do we do at extra help? - Work on homework - Ask questions that you didn’t ask in class - Work on math with my teacher just to make sure that I am on the right track - Complete MMR’s When can I stay? -Extra help will be posted on the homework board and will be on the website. (I will normally offer extra help once a week). - Homework Hangout is every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday
