I. WHO IS THE HOLY SPIRIT ? FATHER SON HOLY SPIRIT THE GOD- HEAD Deity Person

II. How does the Holy Spirit Communicate? Five ways to get message Seeing Hearing Tasting Smelling Feeling Vehicles of thought

“The Spirit of the LORD spoke by me, And His word was on my tongue.” II Sam. 23:2 NKJV “Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons,” 1 Tim.4:1 NKJV

II. How does the Holy Spirit Communicate? The only way in which the Holy Spirit ever did influence people is through intelligent communications ! “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.” Rev. 3:6 NKJV

IV. Where is the Holy Spirit’s Communication ? “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:” II Tim. 3:16 God Breathed

Some Claim guidance by Holy Spirit Apart from the Word.  It is not so  Implies Bible is not enough  Deny teachings of the Holy Spirit

V. When are we led by the Spirit ? “For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” Heb. 4:12

“For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.” Rom. 8:14  Any who follow the teachings of the Spirit are sons of God.  The way he leads us is by the teachings of the New Testament.

Problem with direct Indwelling Would have 2 personalities in us  Divine would be in control  If we sinned then the Spirit would be responsible
