The Current Job Market The export and high-tech industries have been hit the hardest. it can be seen by lowered salaries, and shortened work weeks. At this time, it’s an employer’s market, as opposed to an employee’s market. Given the shortage of jobs and the abundance of unemployed professionals. There is still a demand for sales people, professional people with experience.

Develop a career path A combination of education and professional development Career development through ranks : lateral – production, development, marketing vertical - managerial levels Your resume represents the career path thus far and shows changes, development, job stability

Interviews - You only get one chance to get it right!? Assessment Center Assessment Center is a behavioral evaluation of the most critical aspects (or competencies) of the job within a group dynamic. Assessment Center consists of job-related simulations, interviews, and/or psychological tests.

Graphology test (Hand writing analysis) Arrive with a good mood and positive attitude Write a full page If you don't get a precise subject to write about, use your timeline and write your resume. Although the content is not of any significance, still write about positive things and don't complain.

During Your Job Interview Be prompt Maintain a professional image. Be conscious of your body language Be enthusiastic, confident and energetic, but not shy or aggressive, pushy or egotistic. Always offer positive information. Listen very carefully. Focus and re-focus attention on your successes. Depart gracefully : offer a firm handshake and make eye contact.

Questions in Your Job Interview Tell me about yourself. What are your strengths and weaknesses? try not to give cookie cutter overused answers, rather be more personal to show self awareness and authenticity What could you contribute to our facility? With regards to the Israeli culture what attracts you, how do you manage in Israel ? Assuming we make you an offer, what do you see as your future here? Describe a successful/problematic situation/project in which you were involved.

Do’s and Don’ts Good answer is: Concrete Specific Detailed to a point With examples Honest, sincere and candid Don’t: Make jokes Flatter the interviewer on his/her dress Be arrogant

Questions You Should Ask in Your Job Interview What is the next step in the hiring process? To whom will I be reporting? Is there any on-the-job training ?

After the Job Interview Make notes right away so you don't forget critical details. If you haven't heard from the employer within in a week, it is OK to call them and ask for an answer. Send a thank you
