Ms. Megan McGregor About ME  I enjoy working with your students  I enjoy watching them understand and apply their knowledge  I believe that ALL students can pass my class MY Goals In the Classroom  Understand Math CONCEPTS – build thinkers  Set a goal for the year: Everyone passes my class  “It takes two…” I work and they work

Basic Materials & Expectations  Books stay at home. We have class sets. How the books work  Graph paper, pencils, dry erase marker  A positive attitude  Be on time! The tardy policy.  HW Assignment Sheet When do you get this?

Using teams in the Classroom:  Students now have multiple resources with the teacher as the ultimate resource.  About 38+ students in each class… FIND/SEEK the answer, ASK A PARTNER  Teacher can give more individualized instruction to groups and students.  If students have to explain their understanding they definitely know it.  For their future: many jobs required colleagues to collaborate and work together.

By William Glasser

What Can You Do To Help?  Ask your child to show you his/her agenda (planner). HW SHEET ON TEACHER WEB SITE  Read through the problem with them and discuss the main points of the problem. Ask questions. Don’t understand what the problem is asking them to do.  Encourage your child to see me during the first half of lunch (Advisory)  Utilize the online resources.
