DAE – Description & Key Requirements Hire authority delegated to regions & hdqtrs Only used to perform DAE related work: specific disasters, emergencies, projects, or activities of a non-continuous nature Requires SF-52 and supporting documentation for hiring Individual must meet qualifications for the position

DAE – Description & Key Requirements Two types of DAE’s Local Hire 120 day appointment May be renewed for additional 120 days Salaries set at prevailing local rates Reservists – activated when need arises On FEMA personnel roles for 24 months Expires 9/30 of every even numbered year May not exceed 18 months in 24 month period
