 First form of sewing  Simplest form of sewing  Details: The thread is pulled off a reel over the fabric and threaded through the eye of the needle.

 First to invent the sewing machine.  Skilled cabinet maker.  Worked as cabinet maker all his life.

 Improved the sewing Machine  Didn’t get so much success.  Born 1760  Died 1813

 Invented during1764  James Hargreaves  Eased the production of yarn

 Born: 1720  Death: 1778  Lancashire, England  He had 13 children

 It reduced working hours  It made work easier  Increased production of cotton, wool, cloth etc.  Made the economy better

 A set of eight rovings went through two horizontal bars of wood which would be able to fold. This extends the thread.  The operator had to use his right hand to turn the handle rapidly.
