Lewis and Clark’s Expidition Lewis and Clark’s expedition started on May 21 st, The first portion of the expedition followed the route of the Missouri River. They passed through Kansas City, Omaha, Missouri, Idaho,and Nebraska. Once they reached the Great Plains, they saw the area’s many species.
Reasons to move West. They wanted to look for Gold in California. They also wanted to go to the Great Plains for land.
Present Day states located in the Great Plains These states are: Oklahoma, Kansas, Nebraska, and Iowa. Great Plains are also known as the Agricultural Region.
