Pathogenesis A local abscess at the site of dog or cat bite, with cellulitis, adenitis and osteomyelitis (sometimes) Meningitis following head injury Infection of the respiratory system >> penumonia, bronchitis etc…

Laboratory Diagnosis Specimen Culture Identification Swabs from bite wounds CSF from cases of meningitis Secretions from suppurative respiratory tract infections Culture Blood agar Identification Cultural and Biochemical tests
