Situation in Croatia –from 1986 (the first case) till the end of 2008 cumulative number of HIV/AIDS registered cases was 714 (only 1% tested inhabitants of Croatia) –122 Deaths due to AIDS, with 218 AIDS cases currently –transmission: 58% MSM/bisex 34% hetero 8% IDUs/HIV+partners

CAHIV history Established in year 1999,main reason lack of medical and social care, stigmatization and discrimination –development objectives include prevention of HIV/AIDS, assistance to PLWHA and insuring that they receive adequate medical and social treatment

VCT centers in Croatia in Croatia there are 11 VCT centers all over the country ( they are part of clinics for infectious disease 1st established in 2004.g.by CAHIV Field of working is testing and counseling ( free and anonymuous ) No health care clinics for HIV patiens ( good way of spreading stigma and discrimination )

OUT PATIENTS CARE Mostly field of NGO work CAHIV: - psiho-social support - positive prevention -HIV/AIDS SOS help line - Resocialization of HIV positive people - Legal support and other activities
