“It’s not just a job. It’s an adventure” - United States Army WELCOME TO PRODUCTION PRINTING

Production Printing: Why do we do what we do? The new methods of printing, using automation and technology as the primary tools, have become a mainstay discipline for over five hundred years. Today, we still use many of the old ways of printing to distribute (and redistribute) information. Though, we use more modern techniques and conveniences. Production Printing Class is a year-long course

What are your responsibilities? Completion of all classroom assignments Maintenance of all Print Facilities Print work for the entire Morton School District Assembly of the KILN (product of the High School's Journalism Class) Production of Homecoming T-shirts (Screen Printing) Design/Assembly of the School Curriculum Guides Design of the High School Student Handbook (for upcoming year) Develop end-products for a variety of walk-in clients who request custom work to be provided Raster/Vector Designs for Digital or Print purposes Print Screen Print Dye/Sublimation Vinyl Graphics Assembly

Everything else… We never know what is going to walk through our door. We don’t choose our clients – they choose us. A job is a job, regardless of how “fun” or “interesting” we might perceive it. Others are counting on us to do our best. Usually, our work is seen by many, many people. Those who view our work will probably fail to mention what we do right. But, they’ll never miss an opportunity to let us know where we went wrong.
