The History of POP Pop is short for popular music. Pop represents the type of music that is favored by the public. Is said to have been born in Napoli, Italy, in 1679 when Alessandro Scarlatti composed his first opera. - It was said to be light, lively, and catchy and had a strong sense of rhythm and melody. The song “Slide, Kelly, Slide” by Edison Studios (1894) is credited as the first “pop” hit recorded.
The History of POP Pop music has continuously changed throughout the decades. It has a strong focus on melodies and catchy hooks, and has a chorus that contrast melodically, rhythmically, and harmonically with the verse. Lyrics are usually about love, relationships, and past experiences.
