Why is this Language so Important to Learn? What are they saying?

The Language of Anatomy is Broken Down Into Categories 1.Body Direction 2.Body Sections 3.Body Terms Remember, In A&P, you have to learn new terminology before you can understand any concepts!

The Meaning of the Parts… 1.Body Direction– Giving body direction relative to a body position. (example-The head is superior to the feet.) 2.Body Section—A slice or cut through the body. 3. Body Terms– Giving names to the parts.

Directions for Today’s Activity 1.Write down all of the definitions given to you by your teacher. 2.Copy the anatomical words into the boxes you have created by folding your paper. 3.Cut out the boxes with the anatomical words by using scissors. 4.Use these cut-outs as labels. 5.Begin labeling yourself by adhering the word labels to the appropriate body parts by using tape.
