History In 2002, C. Kent Smith, MD, Vice Dean for Education and Academic Affairs for the School of Medicine, implemented a Resident as Teacher program In 2002, C. Kent Smith, MD, Vice Dean for Education and Academic Affairs for the School of Medicine, implemented a Resident as Teacher program Two major motivators: Two major motivators: –Improve the teaching of residents who were responsible for the learning of our medical students –Unite residents from the various programs across the city with an identity with the medical school
