Many of Christ’s Parables are about God’s attitude toward money and possessions

Do you know that 2/3 of Christ’s parables are about money?

“Our use of money and other possessions demonstrates to God our usefulness to Him, and whether we can be trusted with riches eternally” CS:22

“Examine yourselves...” (2 Cor. 13:5) “What kinds of attitudes or habits do I have regarding money and possessions?”

Many People Equate Wealth with Happiness Attitude #1

Can you sell me some happiness? Nope... No store can!

The world says: “Fix your attention on money and possession.” “Wealth and possessions determine the happiness of life.” “I’ll be satisfied when I have more”

The Word says: focus on God is the focus of life’s needs “Life does not consist of what you possess.” Luke 12:15 “He who loves money will not be satisfied with money.” Eccl. 5:10

“Money may be the husk of many things, but not the kernel. It brings you food, but not appetite; Medicine, but not health; Acquaintances, but not friends; Servants, but not loyalty; Days of joy, but not peace or happiness.” Henrick Ibsen

“Do not weary yourself to gain riches, cease from your consideration of it. When you set your eyes on it, it is gone. For wealth certainly makes itself wings, like an eagle that flies toward the heavens.” (Proverbs 23:4,5)
