Our Agreement Abide by Scholarship Agreement Receive Financial Award

The Basics Respond to communication from Financial Aid! Your award money will be divided evenly and applied to your account for fall and spring semesters – Viewable through SeaNet Must submit a FAFSA each year Failure to comply with this agreement may result in your removal from the program

The Learning 3.5 GPA & maintain SAP according to university policy Must complete 30 credit hours each year (AP/transfer credit does not count) Only allowed to withdraw from total of 16 credit hours during entire academic career Utilize the University Learning Center!

The Service Complete community service project in accordance with program guidelines – Specific guidelines & rubrics will be provided mid-semester – Group project with pre-defined service options

The Experience Attend 7 UNCW workshops or presentations to help prepare you for your future – 4 events must be attended before winter break – Event Participation Form must be submitted to Financial Aid within 5 days of attendance for all programs attended! Simply signing in at the event does not count. Examples include Fiscal Fit Wednesdays, Office of Student Leadership & Engagement Presentations, Career Center Events

Monthly Meeting Schedule August 19, 2014 September 16, 2014 October 21, 2014 November 18, 2014 January 20, 2015 February 17, 2015 March 17, 2015 April 6 th and April 13 th are reserved for Community Service Project Presentations Must contact Megan if unable to attend a meeting & schedule a makeup session!

A Few Final Notes Send a copy of your class schedule to by Thursday, 8/28! UNI 101 coursework does not count toward your SOAR Ambassador requirements! Use the folder provided today to organize all your SOAR paperwork! You will be paired with a Peer Advisor to use as a resource $5 shirt money to Megan by Friday 8/22
