ACCOMMODATIONS (Are given based on documentation only) Extended time on in class exams and quizzes 50 or 100 % Distraction reduced environment for exams Access to a computer for in class writing and exams Larger font for exams and quizzes When appropriate, student not be graded on spelling errors If appropriate, access to a calculator Notes from volunteer note taker Permission to tape record lectures Kurzweil 1000 Jaws CCTV Dragon Naturally Speaking

EXAM PROCESS Letters are sent out to all professors about accommodations Students are to notify DS 3 days before exams Requests asking for exams are sent to the professors by DS Exam is sent to DS via , hand delivery, or campus mail Students come to DS and takes exam at the same time as the class ( sometimes this is a problem) Exams are returned that day (if possible) to the department and must be signed by someone in the department Final exams are different, 5 th floor of the library, 5 day notice
