Pillars of Plan Ceibal Equality – All Children &Teachers in Public School get a Laptop Learning – New tools for learning, new contents, new forms of education. Teachers teach and learn, Kids teach and learn. Technology – Wireless Internet Connection in Schools, Public Places and many homes. Commitment – Strong leadership of President Vazquez. We will not only reduce the gap of the Digital Divide, but more important we need to eliminate the Knowledge Divide Plan CEIBAL

 Preparing and training teachers is needed  Children teach the teachers  Parents get involved and want to be trained.  Teachers resistance is overcome once 1:1 starts  School is centre of life in town.  Collaboration in all aspects is natural in IT environment  Voluntary work is needed  New learning paradigm  Teacher motivation empowers project and new  ways to teach flourish What have we learned after one year Plan CEIBAL

 New homes with computers will rise by (20% of total homes)  Half of these homes belong to the poorest quintil of the population  Children Identity restored.  Growth of Children and Teacher Motivation  Parents participate actively in school environment.  Oportunities for the development in music, video, photography and programming in children that without Ceibal would not exist.
