HAY MRS B AND 7J. LETS TAKE A JOURNEY THROUGH ALGAE. SO LISTEN UP.

 It’s a unicellular or multicellular organism  Algae lives in water or very wet biomes.  Algae doesn’t have leaves, roots or stems  All forms of algae has a nucleus inside a membrane  Algae comes in different colours such as brown, red, pink, golden, purple and green. Algae on hand

 Algae can photosynthesize.  Algae forms a habitat for many marine animals  It is one of the main sources of a food chain.  Algae grows near the surface so it can get a lot of sunlight so it can photosynthesize  Algae is an important producer of food and oxygen in the sea Purple algae photosynthesis

You may find algae almost anywhere in the world. The following a few places.  bottom of pool  bottom of the ocean  alligators  Three-toed sloths  aquatic ferns  freshwater sponges  on or inside rocks  soil  Snow  And even bottles and can Three- toed sloth with algae Algae in snow

Spirogyra Red algae Green algae

You can get rid of algae from a fish tank in 6 easy steps 1.Lower nutrient levels in the water. Change the water and siphon out the slime. 2.Lower the light levels. Sunlight makes plants grow so it will make algae grow. 3.Keep direct sunlight away from the fishtank. 4.Use grazing snails to eat most of the algae 5.Use a razor blade to scrape glass tanks 6. Get algae eating fish such as cat fish and siemese fighters. To avoid getting new algae in your tank, soak plants in 1 part bleach into 20 parts water. Dip the plant for about 2 minutes and rinse it immediately in cool running water
