Key Components of the Secondary Transition Priority: –Use the V3 Discovery Process on 4 target students –Complete the Griffin & Hammis online training –Complete an implementation plan for employment or post- secondary education based on the discovery process –Collect baseline and student progress data based on implementation plan –Connect with community partners / provide training

EPLI Updates Module Changes / Review Coaching Updates –New Coaching for EBP Checklist EPLI

EPLI Trainer Updates / MemoMemo Significant commitments preclude our conducting competency days this year. We are in the process of reviewing our EPLI Trainer process to propose changes in the future. Those planning to apply this year can do a number of things to prepare to present this content in the future (see next slide)

Preparation for Trainer Status Attend local START / RCN trainings Support local START / RCN trainings (ex. Assist with registration, provide group activities support, assist with logistics such as dispersing forms, handouts, etc.) Attend the statewide module trainings provided by START: PBIS & Educational Supports (see the START website for registration) Attend START fall and spring Leadership trainings (see your local RCN representative for this information)

Acceptable Use of START Material START Trainer approval is required to present START materials. Those without START Trainer approval may use single slides to represent material at meetings, trainings, etc., but may not use large chunks and represent themselves as START Trainers. For current START Trainers, make note of the “Acceptable Use of START Materials” policy below: –START materials and content must not be substantially modified without input from START. Materials can be personally enhanced with examples, clip art, videos, etc. but, the fidelity of the content should not be altered. –The trainer version of START materials should not be copied or distributed to districts, agencies or other trainers for purposes other than EPLI content training by a START approved trainer or coaching support by identified START coaches. –START should be credited when using materials for training or coaching. –START materials should not be used by START trainers for private-for-pay work. –
