What is a Refugee?

IDP vs. Refugee IDP stands for Internally Displaced Person. The biggest difference is the fact that an refugee crosses international borders. IDPs try to find safeness and security in their own land. Both refugees and IDPs are entitled to the same rights as destination country’s citizens.

Afghanistan: The Battle Ground Families flee due to faction created conflicts. Leadership shifts create new systems, which don’t always support the past citizens. Violence consumes the country its almost like the only method of communication.

Cause of Resettlement

Life of a Refugee Refugees are supposed to be given housing, food, clothing, and medical upon arrival to their new land. Many whom wish to return to their native land usually can’t, because of ongoing turmoil. Afghani refugees are at times turned away from countries due over crowding. Many refugees live in tents in sectioned camp areas. Disease, poverty, and hopelessness rules these areas.
