COMMIT = “TO DEPOSIT FOR A TRUST OR PROTECTION” A. It isn’t a matter of “just preaching” 1.2 Timothy 4: Jude 1 – Peter 2: 1- 3 B. The work of the preacher is to COMMIT this word to others 1. The “to whom” we’ll see in a minute Corinthians 9: 16 – Corinthians 4: 1- 7

WHO ARE THE FAITHFUL TO WHOM THIS IS COMMITTED? A. “TRUSTWORTHY” 1. Worthy = 2. Trust = “confidence placed in a person by making that person the noinal owner of property to be held or used for the benefit of one or more others.” 3.1 Timothy 1: 5 – Timothy 2: THYWORTH

WHO ARE THE FAITHFUL TO WHOM THIS IS COMMITTED? B.THY WORTH OF THIS TRUST 1.What GOSPEL save YOU? a.Romans 1: 16 – 17 b.1 Corinthians 15: What value was placed on YOUR soul? a. 1 Peter 1: 18 – 25 b. 1 Corinthians 6:20

Who is Worthy to Receive God’s Word? 2 Timothy 2: 1 – 7 Preaching isn’t easy – 2 Corinthians 1: Philippians 1: 12 – 18 Still, the WORD must be preached – Matthew 28: 19 – 20 2 Timothy 4: 1- 8 To whom are we COMMITTING the word of God? Who are these FAITHFUL men?

WHO ARE THE FAITHFUL TO WHOM THIS IS COMMITTED? C. How well have YOU done in teaching this VALUED TRUTH to others? 1.Matthew 28: 19 – 20 2.“If OUR gospel be hid …” If you are NOT teaching this truth … You are equal to the WORTH (value) YOU place upon your soul and who controls it: either YOU or CHRIST. If you not preaching Christ and Him crucified, what do others hear you declaring?

WHO ARE THE FAITHFUL TO WHOM THIS IS COMMITTED? If you ARE preaching/teaching Christ to others … You must LIVE what you preach/teach. Hypocrites are more easily noted than any other type of person! You are sharing with them GOD’S WORD, PROVING your faithfulness, and giving them the ONLY thing able to save YOURSELF and them that hear you!
