Psalm 40:1 1 I waited patiently for the LORD; he turned to me and heard my cry.

Luke 10:38 38 As Jesus and his disciples were on their way, he came to a village where a woman named Martha opened her home to him.

Luke 10: She had a sister called Mary, who sat at the Lord’s feet listening to what he said. 40 But Martha was distracted by all the preparations that had to be made. She came to him and asked, “Lord, don’t you care that my sister has left me to do the work by myself? Tell her to help me!”

Luke 10: “Martha, Martha,” the Lord answered, “you are worried and upset about many things, 42 but only one thing is needed. Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her.”

ACCEPT CHRIST AS YOUR LORD & SAVIOR

II Corinthians 5:17 17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!

I John 4:4 4 You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.

TRUST IN GOD’S TIMETABLE

James 1:3 3 knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience.

I Peter 5:6 6 Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time.

DETACH YOURSELF FROM THE FLOW OF THIS WORLD

Psalm 37:7 7 Be still before the LORD and wait patiently for him; do not fret when men succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes.

ESTABLISH LINES OF ACCOUNTABILITY

SELF IMPOSED CONSEQUENCES

Colossians 1: And we pray this in order that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and may please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God, 11 being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience….

GOD HAS BEEN WAITING!

II Peter 3:9 9 The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.

Revelation 2: I have given her time to repent of her immorality, but she is unwilling. 22 So I will cast her on a bed of suffering, and I will make those who commit adultery with her suffer intensely, unless they repent of her ways.

Colossians 3:12 12 Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.

Galatians 3: So in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith, 27 for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ.
