Athletes are always looking for an “edge” Many athletes are “fit” but often not “well” Athletes are busy, focused people They need simple, convenient supplements that work to keep them well and performing optimally.

Why Do Athletes Need Nutritional Supplements? Nutritional supplements are required because: –Very few athletes are able to get all the nutrients their body needs through their daily diet. –Many sports make additional demands on certain nutrient requirements. –Heavy training places additional load on many physiological systems.

The Aim of Supplementation The aim of nutritional supplementation in athletes is –Ensure optimal performance in training and competition. –Minimise recovery time and maximise repeat effort. –Keep the athlete healthy and well so they can perform without illness interruptions.

Traditional Delivery Systems Traditional supplements delivery systems have significant drawbacks: Pills, not assimilated into the body efficiently need water to take them swallowing pills can be difficult Powders not very convenient usually don’t taste good & Potions need to be refrigerated are not very portable

Sports origin of Gels Gel packs originally developed to deliver carbohydrate as a fuel during endurance events. Glen Jensen asked why the same packaging technology couldn’t be used, with a unique suspension gel base, to deliver other nutrients. The result was Agel.

Suspension Gel Technology To address the limitations of traditional dose forms Agel created a new and superior delivery system that delivers high quality nutrients suspended in gel. Advantages: Increased bioavailability of nutrients Portable single serving - 20g* Low glycemic index Low in carbs & calories* Zero fat* All products are HFL certified for elite sports use 4 products are TGA Listed Do not require water or refrigeration Tastes great *Except PRO

Agel’s Product Range

- Antioxidants Agel EXO is a blend of fruits and plant extracts which contain natural antioxidants. Antioxidants are important for athletes because they subject their bodies to additional oxidative stress through training EXO should be used daily to maintain adequate cellular antioxidant levels EXO is ideal for pre or post training or competition to boost antioxidant stores

- Vitamins & Minerals Agel MIN is a proprietary formulation of vitamins and minerals that provides 100% of the RDI (Recommended Daily Intake) of most essential vitamins and as 75% of the RDI of most essential minerals. Daily intake of vitamins and minerals are essential for athletes as they cannot be stored and are consumed at a higher rate in active bodies.

- Fucoidan Seaweed Fucoidan providing supplementary “essential saccharides”. A new class of essential nutrients required for proper immune function and tissue repair. Fucoidan offers athletes protection against the “pre-race overtraining flu” syndrome.

- Weight Management Agel FIT is the ideal addition to a successful weight management program. Weight management may not be an issue for many athletes but for some it’s a constant battle. FIT may also assist with maintaining blood sugar levels in extended effort.

Agel OHM is a blend of micronutrients and herbs that boost energy conversion. OHM does not rely upon stimulants like caffeine - it is a B-vitamin based formula that acts as a coenzyme to facilitate the body’s own metabolic processes required to convert carbohydrates into energy. OHM is ideal for pre-competition or a “half-time” boost. - Extra Energy
