Gospel Luke 10:38-42

2015 REC AP Conference

Prayers of Intercession… For the Cross that Jesus asked us to take up and follow him... ALL: WE SHALL TAKE IT. For the bread and wine that we share at our table today... ALL: WE SHALL BREAK IT. For the pain of living that sometimes can become a heavy cross … ALL: WE SHALL BEAR IT. For the joy we have in proclaiming the resurrection of Jesus … ALL: WE SHALL SHARE IT.

For the Gospel that allows us a renewed personal encounter with Jesus... ALL: WE SHALL LIVE IT. For the love of Christ that excludes no one and which restores meaning to our lives … ALL: WE SHALL GIVE IT. For the light of Christ given to us in Baptism … ALL: WE SHALL CHERISH IT. For the darkness of doubt that can sometimes surround and overwhelm us … ALL: WE SHALL PERISH IT.

We are Called Come! live in the light! Shine with the joy and the love of the Lord! We are called to be light for the kingdom, to live in the freedom of the city of God! Refrain: We are called to act with justice. We are called to love tenderly. We are called to serve one another, to walk humbly with God.

Come! Open your heart! Show your mercy to all those in fear! We are called to be hope for the hopeless, so all hatred and blindness will be no more! Refrain: We are called to act with justice. We are called to love tenderly. We are called to serve one another, to walk humbly with God.

Sing! Sing a new song! Sing of that great day when all will be one! God will reign and we'll walk with each other as sisters and brothers united in love! Refrain: We are called to act with justice. We are called to love tenderly. We are called to serve one another, to walk humbly with God.
