Ethical Use of Sources Do not change the author's main idea. Although you shouldn’t quote an entire passage, make sure that you have not changed the author’s main idea through selective quoting.

Ethical Use of Sources Always be aware of the context in which your source document was produced.

Consequences of Plagiarism A student way receive a zero for they work they have turned in or will have to resubmit the work to the teacher. If the student has plagiarized the students parents are contacted and the teacher, principle and parents will discuss the matter.

Consequences of Plagiarism If what the student has done is major he or she may be expelled from the school or course.
