ORGANIZING – 2010 Chinese New Year Festival Symphony Orchestra

ORGANIZING - Chinese New Year Festival Symphony Orchestra Purpose – perform 1-3 Chinese music pieces in Chinese New Year Festival (15-20mins) Recruit Member – any student, teacher, parent, alumni, and AACCOM friend who can play: – Conductor (1), Violin (12), Viola (4), Cello (6), D. Bass (2), Flute + Piccolo (6), Clarinet (6), Oboe (2), Alto Sax (2), Tenor Sax (1), Bassoon (2), Horn (4), Trumpet (4), Trombone (3), Baritone/Euphonium (2), Tuba (1), Percussion (4)

ORGANIZING - Chinese New Year Festival Symphony Orchestra Performance Time - AACCOM Chinese New Year Festival Concert Rehearsal Time (at third hour of Chinese School ) – Kick off meeting: November 6 th ( to hand out music ) 9PM at Northside Elementary School Auditorium Stage – Individual coaching: arrangement only – 3 rehearsals out of 5 dates: between January and Chinese New Year Festival ( two full and one part practice ) date: Fridays before performance. – Dress rehearsal: before concert – time TBD

ORGANIZING - Chinese New Year Festival Symphony Orchestra Sign up – free – Alex Yeh – Name, instrument, grade/education level, music experience – We need part leaders ( voluntary position ) to arrange chair with members, give out music, and coordinate part rehearsal activity ( see above ). Please indicate if you can be part leader, especially encouraging high school member to do so. – Please sign up before Nov 1 st so that we can prepare the music and hand out to you in the kickoff meeting.
